The department of History was established in the year 2010. It is an elective subject offered under the 3-year B.A General course as well as for B.A Hons. Courses under the University of Calcutta. The department has established a mini museum corner in the central library of the college. The department organizes special lectures and plans to arrange excursions to historical places near Kolkata.
