Function: The committee is responsible for preventing any kind of in-disciplinary activity, be it physical/mental torture or any disorderly conduct on the part of any student provided such complaint is received by the Principal in writing followed by the arrangement of a meeting in consideration.
ANTI RAGGING AWARENESS & DECLARATION
In pursuance to the judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court
of India dated 08.05.2009 in Civil Appeal No: 887/2009, the
UGC had notified "REGULATION OF CURBING THE MENACE OF
RAGGING IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION, 2009" under the UGC
ACT, 1956.
All the Higher Education Institution within the country are
liable to abide by the "Zero Tolerance Policy" against any
activity constituting "Ragging" within its campus.
Therefore, all the students are instructed to follow the
guidelines regarding maintaining a ragging free campus-

THE DEFINITION OF RAGGING
- Any disorderly conduct whether by noisy, or words spoken, or written, or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
- Indulging in a rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or any other student.
- Asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or any other student.
- Asking the students to do any act or perform something which cause him/her shame or embarrassment or danger to his/her life.
- Any act by a student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of a fresher or any other student.
- Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic task assigned to an individual or group.
- Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden.
THE PUNISHMENT FOR RAGGING (INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
DEEPENING UPON THE MAGNITUDE OF THE OFFENCE-
- Cancellation of admission.
- Suspension from attending classes.
- Withholding/withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship/ or any other benefits.
- Debarring from appearing for any test/ examination/ or the evaluation process.
- Withholding result of any test, examination.
- Debarring from representing the Institute any campus interview.
- Debarring from representing the Institute from attending/ Participating any national or international meet/ tournament/ youth festival etc.
- Rustication from the institute for such period as may be decided by the concerned authorities.
- Expulsion from the Institute and consequent
debarring from admission to any other education
institution for such period as may be decided by
concerned authorities.
