Orientation Program for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com Part-I Students (2016-2017)
THK Jain College had organized an Orientation Program for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com 1st year students for the session of 2016-2017 for both Morning and Day Section on 23/7/2016, 26/7/2016 and 28/7/2016 in the Audio-visual room of the college.The Orientation Program began with the welcome address by the honourable Principal Dr. Mausumi Singh Sengupta. Dr. A.K Mondal, In-charge, dept. of commerce and other faculty members of all the departments were present during the occasion.
During the Orientation program, the faculty members of all concerned departments delivered their speeches along with Power Point Presentation after the welcome address by the Principal.
After the welcome address session, and the students were introduced to the Library and the different laboratories of the respective departments such ass Microbiology, Computer Science, Journalism & Mass Communication, Dept. of Geography so on and so forth. The concerned departments made Power Point Presentations followed by the speech of honourable Principal.
On the Occasion of delivering the welcome address, the Principal emphasised on curriculum, teaching , rules and regulations of the institution and congratulated all the newcomers for becoming the part of this prestigious institution. The Principal urged all the students and the faculty members and inspired them with her motivational words encouraging them towards excellence.
Orientation Programme for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com Part-I Students (2015-2016)
On 20 th July 2015, Tara Devi Harakh Chand kankaria Jain College has taken the initiative of Orientation Programme for the newcomer students of Day Section of B.A/B.Sc/ B.Com Part-I of 2015-2016 Academic Session. The event was conceptualized by Respected Principal Dr. Mausumi Singh Sengupta with an aim of making Student-Faculty interaction better and effective ahead. The Session took place at the Seminar Hall of the New Building which has recently been inaugurated .Students of B.A/B.Sc/ B.Com Part-I of 2015-2016 Academic Session of Day Section have turned up along with Faculty Members and Non-Teaching Staffs of the College.
The Inaugural Speech of the session was addressed by Respected Principal Dr. Mausumi Singh Sengupta on behalf of the institution where she welcomed all students of Day Section and briefly discussed the decorum that are to be followed by the students regarding academic conduct, attendance and the the like along with Power Point Presentation.
The Session proceeded by the Power Point Presentation and speech delivered by veteran Academician Prof. P.K . Choudhury where he conveyed the role of Students for an Educational Institution and also briefed some major issues regarding students participation in pursuit of accessing improved academic endeavors.
Prof. Priyabrata Chakraborty , one of the senior most teachers from the Department of English has rendered a motivating speech for all newcomers which would inevitably become a source of encouragement and enthuse the students to carry forward their academic endeavor and help them to be better thinkers indeed.
